Database Error: Flat UPRNs stuck as Unavailable (ORDI Escalation Needed)

Hi community team,

I need a senior moderator or provisions specialist to urgently escalate an ORDI (Openreach Data Integrity) address verification check for my building.

The Situation:

  • The infrastructure is 100% complete: Last year, Openreach engineers fully cabled our apartment block and physically installed internal MDU splice boxes directly above every single flat front door in our corridors.
  • Neighbours have access: The standalone houses directly next door to our building have active, live Openreach Full Fibre (FTTP).
  • The Database Error: Despite the physical build being finished, the Openreach master database shows "Unavailable" for every single flat in our block's dropdown menu.

This is clearly a data mismatch where our building's UPRNs were never flipped to "Live" after the engineering sign-off. Could a moderator please look past the automated checker, review the physical build history for our address, and raise a database correction with Openreach?

Thank you for your help.

Re: Database Error: Flat UPRNs stuck as Unavailable (ORDI Escalation Needed)

I’m afraid you have completely the wrong idea of what this forum is for , it’s a BT Customer to BT Customer discussion platform , the only BT staff are the Moderators who have no customer account access , it’s not a direct path into BT ,and presumably yiu are not a BT customer and may have no intention of being one, plus Openreach and BT are not interchangeable terms, problems with Openreach are not BT’s problem, no more than Sky, Vodafone etc , yet I’m sure you haven’t posted any such ‘demand’ on their customer forums ( if they have something similar )

https://www.openreach.com/forms/fibre-broadband-availability---customer-form

Complete this formwize , the pertinent section is something like my neighbours can get FTTP but I can’t.

Re: Database Error: Flat UPRNs stuck as Unavailable (ORDI Escalation Needed)

Thanks for the reply. I am fully aware of the Openreach form and have already submitted it. However, I posted here because official BT Community Moderators frequently escalate ORDI data integrity checks for households stuck in database limbo who are trying to join BT.
Once the master Openreach database is updated to reflect the physical MDU boxes that were installed outside our doors last year, my intention is to order BT Full Fibre. I am hoping an official moderator can help escalate this data issue so I can place my order with BT.

It might also be worth pursuing this with the freeholder, as they must have authorised the work and so must have some sort of contact with Openreach.

Good point, thank you. The management company did authorise the corridor build last year, so they should have a record of the project sign-off. I will reach out to them next week to see if they can ping their Openreach contact from their side as well while I wait for a moderator here.

Re: Database Error: Flat UPRNs stuck as Unavailable (ORDI Escalation Needed)

the mods here will not raise an ORDI for non BT customer especially as they do not have account access  you can try contacting CS 03301234150 but I doubt they will help either.

This is a problem for your management company to sort after all that's what you pay then for

Re: Database Error: Flat UPRNs stuck as Unavailable (ORDI Escalation Needed)

As stated , why would BT arrange an ORDI for someone who isn’t currently a customer, even if they were potentially a customer ( although anyone could state that’s their intention , BT do the ‘work’ and the potential customer then goes elsewhere ) as stated Sky (for example) have  the exact same relationship with Openreach as BT  , yet no one approaches them with these type of requests , they assume it’s BT that should do this , but  they can’t ( or don’t ) what’s more all an ORDI does is get Openreach to check their address database reflects  the Royal  Mail one accurately  , on its own it doesn’t input FTTP availability if it’s missing , so it’s very unlikely that a BT moderator will  be offering help and even if they did , if your address matches the Royal Mail database on Openreach then all an ORDI would achieve is confirmation they ‘match’ .

If you have already submitted the Openreach enquiry, what was the response, you are assuming that because the building FTTP cabling seems complete service must be available and it’s simply an administrative error , that isn’t necessarily the case .

Re: Database Error: Flat UPRNs stuck as Unavailable (ORDI Escalation Needed)

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Just to clarify, the Openreach ticket was only submitted yesterday, so I am awaiting their response. Since the physical infrastructure is fully installed outside our doors, I am simply going to leave this thread open for an official BT Community Moderator to review on Monday. If they are able to help escalate it, that would be fantastic. If not, I will follow it up directly through my Openreach ticket and the building freeholder. Have a good weekend.
