A granddaughter phoned BT re the disconnection problems I'm having. Was told the problem was fixed. It wasn't.
I use BT's troubleshooting tool and agree to router being restarted,as recommended. Problem still there.
BT engineer comes out. Says it's due to a faulty filter.Replaces with new one .Disconnection problem still there.
I use Callback. After major verification hassle(my fault), it's agreed that I am who I say I am. Agree with router being restored to factory settings. BT tech supremely confident that will solve the problem.Line is apparently OK.
22.40 last night to 01.38 this morning = 18 disconnects. 0 9.51- 10.16 = 8 disconnects.
If you still have an analogue phone service rather than Digital Voice, dial 17070 and select quiet line test. It should be totally silent. If there is any noise or crackling at all report the fault as a noisy phone line.
Very crackly.
You need to Call BT 0330.1234.150 and report a Telephone fault, not a broadband fault, and inform them that your phone is crackling.
Once your phone fault is fixed your broadband will improve.
A simple test that the BT 'engineer' should have performed. Do these people not get any training at all?
