Does anyone know what ONT's Openreach are currently installing

Go to solution

Wondering how many ethernet connections the boxes have and if I can bypass the smart hub and simply go straight into the ONT with ethernet for the PC

There is only 1 connection on the ONT.  You can connect PPP0E from pc to ONT. If you have digital voice then you need to use SH2

Thanks, I'd seen on the BT page they said there were 5 types of openreach ONT's and some had more than one LAN

The 4 port devices are used to support 4 discrete services, not 4 LAN ports from one service. The ONT is a modem, it doesn't have routing capability.

That’s outdated.

Openreach no longer supply Huawei ONT’s at all.

Only ECI, Nokia and Adtran.

They’re trialing a 4 Port Nokia ONT.
