Hi,
I’ve agreed to have FTTP installed a couple of weeks.
Unfortunately the original duct and termination was fitted in a slightly odd place (front door recess) when the house was built and there is only 12cm space at the top of the capping where the elephant foot termination cover currently is. So the 14cm wide CSP will need to go somewhere else.
So now I’m trying to think of acceptable options to minimise the exposed cable on both the outside wall and inside.
One option would be to drill (which I could do in advance) from the elephant foot through to inside the adjoining garage wall and fit the CSP there, an internal cable then can have a short run along the wall and then straight through to one the ONT (managed to get hold of the Openreach ONT cover) which would then give a cleanish finish internally.
Thoughts appreciated.
Thanks,
Damian
I cannot see an engineer rejecting your solution. CSP's have been fitted in garages in the past.
