I had a text message and an email today from BT saying EE full fibre is available, giving my postcode.
The Openreach checker says it's not coming until sometime next year!

Just to be sure as well, have you had a chance to recently check the Openreach Fibre checker?
There are more and more places having this rolled out, and there's a chance this could have been sent in anticipation of future availability.

Edited: Fibre checker says there are no plans to supply fibre. We’ll be building in this area in the next year

Small rural village (800 pop) over 3 miles to next areas of population.
I have had the same email today and I did see a couple of workmen pushing the drawropes from each manhole (I know wrong word) and marking them with blue arrows. Nothing else has been done as there has been nothing fitted to the poles. I'm on the edge of Croydon. It looks as if BT/EE are jumping the gun when the conversion has only just begun.
Interestingly, a friend a few doors away hasn't had the email. They moved to EE from BT at last renewal so it would appear the email is simply yet another ruse to get BT customers to move to EE with unavailable promises.
I think you are correct, having reread the email fully it does say:
| And you get a free upgrade |
| You have our Full Fibre Guarantee, which means you can get a free upgrade now that it's available in your area. |
Same here - BT just getting hopes up and wasting my time. They should sort their act out.
They also waste my time with 'exclusive personalised offers', which are just the package I'm on currently, but more expensive.
I too got the same email which surprised me as there hadn't been any Openreach activity. On checking the availability checkers my property can't get it but that is because I live in a ground floor flat. Any property in the road which is part of a MDU cannot get FTTP but all single units can now. The Openreach checker does state for the MDUs that "We'll be building in this area in the next year"
