FTTP availbel or not?
Hi, had halo 3 for a few years, always rock solid. Been having some intermittent issues recently with line dropping out. BT sent new home hub etc and was stable for a few weeks but now got same issue. Apparently a line issue now so they are sending an engineer. However made me wonder if FTTP was available yet - if there is a problem with the line might be a good time to upgrade. Logged into mybt and it said 'good news, you can upgrade to full fibre'. Checked openreach website and yep, says full fibre available. Tried to upgrade via BT website, and only got FTTC options, EE the same.
Called BT to be told that my upgrade options were to speeds lower than I have now, and FTTP or even EE upgrade was not available (the latter seemed very odd as I am out of contract and they keep pushing me to swap over?)
Mentioned I had checked openreach and they said FTTP was available, so they went away and checked, then came back apologised and said it was available so they would pass me over to anther team. After nearly 45 mins hanging on the phone I gave up.
So two questions: 1) why would BT tell me it isn't available (may be a case of left hand - right hand); 2) is there anyone else I can contact (other than 150) to see about getting upgraded?
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Re: FTTP availbel or not?
FTTP is not available to you just now hence why you cannot order from and ISP using openreach just keep checking the link I posted and it will show when available

Re: FTTP availbel or not?
Anything out of the ordinary about your address, like it’s a flat/apartment , it’s known by a house name rather than a number , it’s been recently built etc ….?
The DSL checker shows no FTTP availability, although it seems like you have edited the return as it’s missing quite a lot of info …..the DSL checker is an address level check , the OR checker that shows FTTP available is at odds with the btwholesale one , it could be something like the FTTP kit is available but it’s not connected to BTw backhaul so no availability, that may be a temporary situation.
You shouldn’t be able to raise a FTTP order with anyone on Openreach while the DSL checker shows no FTTP availability

Re: FTTP availbel or not?
Tried with phone number but it didn't recognise, possibly as on digital voice. Had to use address which came up with what I showed.
BT did say available when I quizzed them.
Will keep trying.

Re: FTTP availbel or not?
if FTTP does not show on checker then you will not be able to order from BT
does vodafone not use city fibre now?

Re: FTTP availbel or not?
As stated , BT use BTw backhaul, Vodafone don’t , they use their own or a non BTw backhaul provider, so if Openreach FTTP is available and the backhaul provider VF use is ready and has capacity then VF can show availability, if OR is ready , but BTw don’t currently have capacity then providers like BT , won’t be able to offer service until backhaul is provided, however that doesn’t explain why the BTw checker shows no FTTP at all .
As stated , VF offer FTTP over CF and Openreach , I’d suggest checking CF’s site to see if they cover your address , VF may be using CF , that may be of no consequence to you and you will use whoever can connect you
