Fault will take a week to fix

I reported a fault with my broadband today. BT replied saying they have identified a fault and will fix it by next week.

But I need to work next week. What can I do?

Re: Fault will take a week to fix

@GodAtum

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.

The standard repair time for a residential connection is three working days, not including Saturday. Business users have faster repair options.

Perhaps you should consider a 4G mobile broadband router as a backup, or use your phone as a hotspot.

BT do have Halo packages which includes a Hybrid Connect unit to maintain a connection during a fault, assuming you have a 4G mobile signal.

Re: Fault will take a week to fix

It may not take a week. If you reported it yesterday it will not take the weekend into account for the 3 working day response.

Depending on the fault, what work is required and resources for that area it may get fixed much sooner.
