If you are indeed being moved to full FTTP, then the 36Mbps that you say BT is guaranteeing you is woefully, even unbelievably, slow.
That's why I suggested that actually you are being moved to FTTC.
All of the FTTC profiles are available on FTTP as well as speeds FTTC can’t deliver , a 36Mb guarantee on a 40Mb Esential service can hardly be described as unbelievably slow, 90% if the headline speed ,
As the OP confirms ( and TBH was pretty clear from the outset ) its FTTP they are getting , Openreach and by extension, ISP’s don’t push migration to FTTC from ADSL , as stated what’s the point swapping one copper based service for another , knowing at some point another migration to FTTP will be necessary
@HHGTTGwrote:What did you get then FTTP or FTTC?
The BT-Order was for a Analogue to Digital DV change-out, over my existing service. The order didn't relate in any way to my situation. When the change-over took place, the bogey order disappeared and my Products & Services pages displayed my correct requirements.
As for FTTP, not readily available.
