Hello,
Apologies for the repeat question I can see this has been dealt with before.
The home I am about to move into is only showing as 1-3mb available yet ofcom fibre checker says up to 67mb.
I would prefer not to go with V****n and wondered if I could please get some help investigating whether this is a database error. Can provide address and have asked letting agent for a landline number but I am waiting for that.
Many thanks in advance,
Matt
Solved! Go to Solution.
you need to get the landline number to make any progress. It may be that property has virgin and no openreach landline connection so you would need to order and get a working landline
Thank you I will push ahead with securing that info and return 🙂
I've got a landline number for the property now after emailing the letting agent.
It hasn't made a difference to BT broadband checker, still only 1-3mb.
Virgin say they're not available despite both next door neighbours showing up as being connected when I searched them.
enter the phone number and post results remember delete number but leave exchange and cab
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL
Enter the phone number here and post the result.
"no data available"
😩
Then try the addess checker. The phone number may not be a BT one.
I have tried both I'm afraid, BT and ofcom. Even virgin says it's unavailable despite both neighbouring houses having virgin.
Becoming a nightmare.
I'm happy to DM the address and landline number I was given if anybody thinks they can help with it
