Full Fibre and how do i get it?

The other day i heard drilling outside my door, I opened the front door to see a guy drilling a hole above my front door.

I questioned him and he said he was installing fibre to the premises or somthing like that

It was a white box above my front door, he said that another cable (fibre) will be inserted in the white box above my door, then routed to where my router is.

Ive checked the BT web page on my post code HP20 2TE and it states all i can get is fibre basic at 67mb download speed, lame.

I thought fibre from the cabinet to the premises is like 900mb or a gigabit.

Ive had the standard fibre for 10+ years now so I would like the faster full fibre speeds

Where do I go from here?

BT services in India are clueless.

thank you

Re: Full Fibre and how do i get it?

Do you live in a block of flats?

If so sounds like they were installing FTTP for an MDU.

They install what is essentially a CSP to the outside of every flat ready for when the resident takes out an FTTP Service.

Are you 100% sure the guy Installing was working on behalf of Openreach? There are several other Network Providers, especially Hyperoptic who specialise in MDU’s.

And if it was Openreach it wouldn’t should as being available on the Wholesale DSL Checker until the PON is Commissioned and ready to accept Orders.
