Re: Full fibre install, PON flashing

Go to solution

This isn’t the OP’s first post on their issue  , I would suggest reading  the previous ones , that will result in more informed responses.

@iniltous  Ah...seems to be quite a history there then.  You would have thought the OP would have mentioned it was a long term issue and would realise it wasn't something trivial by now then.

Phoned BT and they said a chief engineer has been allocated to fix the problem at the exchange.

Chief Engineers. 😆

If it’s same so called Chief Engineers that were there when I was then they’d be better off sending out a Kelly’s Contractor who just finished his Training this afternoon.

That's what I've been repeatedly told, they are trying to allocate 'chief engineers' to fix the issue whatever chief engineer means at Openreach.

Re: Full fibre install, PON flashing

To be honest it doesn’t actually mean anything.

It’ll just be an Openreach Engineer, Technician or whatever you want to call them.

When I was there people who worked for the so called Chief Engineers were the Golden Boy’s who probably Brown Nosed their way into it.

Anyway, doesn’t matter as I was told by a mate whose still at Openreach that the Chief Engineers has been merged with the even more useless Fibre Network Delivery to form a new Group called Complex Engineering.

I can only imagine what a useless shower of chit most of them are.

Re: Full fibre install, PON flashing

I phoned BT and have been told my order is cancelled as Openreach  could not fix the issue. I live in a block of flats and they labelled  problems with the full fibre install in a multi dwelling unit to blame.

To get full fibre enough people in the block now have to sign a notification of interest to Openreach, then something along the lines of a Openreach multi dwelling install unit will sort out the issue, but until then no full fibre at my address. 😬😵💫🤮
