Internet Crashing

My connection crashed on Christmas Eve. There was no power outage. Why did this drop, and shouldn't it switch to the EE hybrid.

It was extremely inconvenient and all the bots could do, when service was eventually restored, was explain that everyone had left for the festive period. I did request a follow-up call, obviously showing my naivety, there.

I am with BT for their supposed continuity of connection and regrettably am locked in for another 18 months, is this outage - a reason to leave without additional charges?

Re: Internet Crashing

In short no.

No Broadband connection is perfect and issues can and do occur.  You would need to speak to BT to see if there is a fault on the line.  As to why your hybrid connect didn't kick in, they are designed to kick in when you have total loss of service (the light on your hub changes colour) can take up to about 15 mins though.  If that was your circumstances then I would have them look into this as well.
