Landline issues

I have had an issue with an intermittent fault with my landline since last August.The line crackles and the broadband drops out.I have had eight engineers to my property they have changed the main socket to the house and have in the six months since the fault started decided the fault is outside my property probably the copper wire.I have yet again rang bt today to raise yet another fault they have now told me to ring open reach direct to talk to a special fault engineer the number given to me doesn’t work.I just want this issue resolved and am slightly peeved to say the least.

I am sorry for the intermittent fault that's causing noise on your line and your broadband service to drop out.  I am disappointed to read that this has been going on for so long.
