I am having to renew my broadband package but the maximum speed available has dropped from guaranteed 67 mb to 27mb.
No matter what package I try the max speed always comes back as 27mb, when for the past 4 years I have received 77mb.
I have been trying all week to get someone to understand what is actually going on and was told there is nothing they can do and I should contact Openreach, I have contacted Openreach and they told me they only communicate with my ISP.
It is frustrating because I'm being told my max speed is 27mb when it has been 77mb for the past 3 years, I live in a block of flats and if I change my door number to any other number in my block I am able to get the guaranteed 67mb option again.
It makes no sense, can anyone please help?
As long as your actual speed remains unchanged it doesn't really matter what your projected speed is. You get whatever your line is capable of, renewing package won't change anything.
Regardless of expected speed what speed are you currently getting on router?
It as halved what it was.
Now currently 29mb.
If I change my flat number it offers me 67 guaranteed.
Sorry if it's a silly question, but are you connecting via Wifi or Ethernet? If on Wifi, are you using 5ghz?
What is your actual speed as reported by your hub, not the projected speed.
It is not clear what speed you are talking about
If your actual speed has dropped, then you have a fault.
Can you please just answer the question. What is the connection speed reported by the hub.

12 flats in my block, 11 can get max speed, I can only get 27mb as of this week. All online availability tests say max speed is 27mb for my flat only.
