This EE community thread is even worse than the one I mentioned above
Customers who move to New EE can continue using their e-mail service at no extra charge and do not have to move to Premium Mail.
Hi @licquorice ,
I do hope that you are correct.
When the time comes I will be sure to quote what has been posted here if the CS advisor tells me different.
That is a direct quote from the mods in the other thread.
If in doubt wait till 6th December when BT TV switches to EE and then you will see the lay of the land.
That’s the plan.
Hi @RussK,
As you are moving from BT to New EE, for broadband, you will continue using your email in the same way.
If you had our standard email service with BT you will still have that on your New EE account.
If you had Premium Mail, it will continue but we would need to make sure that you aren't being charged. If you closed your EE account, we would resume billing for Premium Mail.
If you had Basic Mail, please contact us as we will need to change that to Premium Mail and remove the charges. If you closed your EE account we would downgrade your account to Basic Email.
It's important to note that you will need to continue using your MyBT account to manage your email service. It will remain a BT product and you won't be able to manage it under your new EEID.
Thank you
DanielS
I have multiple email addresses and have never had any problem when changing provider. They all continue to work seemlessly.
I've never understood why anyone has used an ISP issued email since about pre 2000.
