Hi Everyone.
I am looking at moving to BT from Virgin and have a few questions which i am hoping that you are able to answer for me.
Firstly, with Virgin, you can set the router to modem mode. This is ideal for me as i have a home network and if i can set it to modem mode it will just work for me.
Secondly, if i can not set to modem mode does the router allow you to configure your own IP address.
Next, does BT have any limits on data useage.
Finally, im lookin at full fibre 500 as its the same price i pay now for 100mb. Does anyone else have full fibre and would you recommend it.
Thanks
The BT hub does not have modem mode but with full fibre you don't need it, just connect your own router to the ONT (modem) and set up a PPPoE connection.*

There are no data limits, download what you want when you want.
I haven't heard of anyone who would not recommend an FTTP connection.
*Unless you get digital voice in which case you have to use the BT Hub. Better to get a sepearate VoIP provider if you need a home phone.
