I have no internet since my activation date of 1st April 2025. My openreach box is blinking red and 4 engineers were scheduled, all saying the "fixed issue" or either the "i've missed the appointment" but i'm all day in the house waiting for engineers to arrive and still blinking red. No one came, got message saying the engineers on the way and shortly saying i need to rebook an engineer. Whats going on BT? why hasnt the enginner arrive to fix the issue, my firsat payment is to be taken 9th April 2025 and still havent got internet.
i'm frustrated with all this. i have keep calling and repeat the same thing all over again. can someone help me resolve the issue?
Remove the VOL number, that is personal to you and a security risk.
have you tried turning power of to openreach ONT and after 5 min switch power back on if still blinking red then need to phone CS 03301234150 and report fault and ask CS guide to raise a complaint as you have called about no connection on numerous times
Is this a new build where you are the first occupant or you have moved into a property where a previous occupant had FTTP installed , and presumably they had a working service at some point , although it apparently isn’t working now .
If the fibre is plugged into the ONT correctly, maybe try it’s pushed home correctly , then unless someone has damaged the optical cable from the CSP ( usually a grey box on the external wall if it’s a house rather than a flat ) to the ONT then chances are the problem is outside of your address and chances are you don’t need to be at home for it to be fixed .
FWIW , it’s Openreach not BT ‘engineers’ so you would be having the same issue if you used Sky or Vodafone or anyone else on OR’s FTTP network
