Not getting max speed...possibly capped again?

Hello,

Recently we have been receiving lower download and upload speeds than we are expecting to receive with our contract. At this moment of time we are apparently getting around a data rate of 800 Kbps / 7.094 Mbps, when we should be getting at max a data rate of  9.522 Mbps / 36.106 Mbps (As shown in the image below). We have only just started facing the problem around two weeks ago, and beforehand it was perfectly fine. Sadly we have faced this problem only a few months,  we had a BT engineer to come have a look and told us that our speed was capped, he stated that we were able to get the max speed guaranteed and shortly after our speeds were back to normal. However like i mentioned previously we are facing this problem again. Is there any solution to my problem without having to contact another engineer?

I would really appreciate help as soon as possible as i am currently working from home and its very frustrating to have such low speeds when i know that we can 100% receive higher.

Also for the such short DSL Uptime, we tried to manually restart the router to see if it would fix any of the problems that we have been getting, however it did not help.

Re: Not getting max speed...possibly capped again?

You clearly have a line fault that hasn't been fixed.

Re: Not getting max speed...possibly capped again?

if you have a home phone and not on digital voice check for line noise  dial 17070 option 2 should be silent  any noise and you need to report phone fault to 151

I see you had a hub firmware update on 2/1/25 did problem start after that?  if so try factory reset by pressing recessed button on back of hub and holding 20/30 secs until hub lights flash see if any change
