Hi 3 months ago we bought a house, we checked the Internet and BT was saying full fiber on postcode checker, openreach was saying available now full fiber. So we ordered it. Openreach was supposed to come and 1 day before we get text for rebook, which noone showed up, then no communication. After a lot of calls BT says that openreach deemed it overbudget and that we have to pay £400, that said 2houses down a neighbour has, probably 5-6meters away. Then another call to BT a manager says that is not correct you shouldn't pay. Then another call (to bt)you have to cancel your package and redo it so openreach can go and say that they can't do it as we can't see it on the system. Then an another call saying we have to cancel and to fiber to cabinet if openreach refuses. Then another call, you know what we cant offer fiber to the cabinet because of the council?...Anyways 3months on still without Internet only with a dongle from EE that keeps dropping and and has about 6mb speed whenever on. Surely if both companies state that I can have full fiber they have to abide on what they say otherwise is misleading. I don't know what to do.
Can you please enter your postcode here: broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome and post the complete table, excluding your address, including the notes so that we can see exactly what is available at your address.

Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:-Single Dwelling Unit Residential UG Feed with no anticipated issues
This is the information required, is your address KCI2 Assure or single stage , your address probably won’t be UG feed no anticipated issues , but what does it show .
OR don’t have to provide service regardless of cost , there are limits to what an individual service can cost without ECC , if ECC ( excess construction ciders ) are deemed necessary then you pay towards the construction if you want service to be provided
FYI , if your contribution is £400 then the total cost to OR will be much more than that ,
Our records show the following FTTP network service information for these premises:-Single Dwelling Unit Residential UG partial Direct In Ground.
FTTP is available and a new ONT may be ordered.
As a fibre priority exchange, FTTP has priority over other products if available at the address
As a WLR withdrawal exchange, product restrictions apply
SOADSL is not restricted at the exchange
For all ADSL and WBC Fibre to the Cabinet (VDSL or G.fast) services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage.
For all SOADSL services, the stable line rate will be determined during the first 10 days of service usage.
This site is in an FTTP priority area where FTTP is available but exceptionally SOGEA will also show as available to order but only at Non-Standard Premises (NSP) such as Hot site, Uninhabitable and Temporary locations. Migrations of WLR Solus (voice-only lines) is also allowed but only for SOGEA 0.5Mbps bandwidths. SOGEA 40/10 bandwidths order is also allowed.
Actual speeds experienced by end users and quoted by CPs will be lower due to a number of factors within and external to BT's network, Communication Providers' networks and within customer premises.
In order to be eligible for handback, downstream speed should be less than Downstream Handback Threshold values.
If you decide to place an order for a WBC fibre product, an appointment may be required for an engineer to visit the end user's premises to supply the service
I am trying to see how I can share a screenshot but it doesn't allow me as it 500kb when limit is 333kb... is it something specific you need to share?
Yes the 400 is my share apparently they have costed something in the region of £3k
The table you shared is what i see
You don’t say if your address is KCI2 or single stage installation but TBH , that’s not as important as the ‘partial direct in ground’ survey note .
Housing built in the 1960’s till the early 1990’s wasn’t ducted to the house , but the copper cables are buried direct in the ground (dig) , consequently the FTTP network when provided in these areas can be some considerable distance from the property , in the nearest proper jointbox in the footpath ( that contains the fibre CBT ) so the excavation necessary to get from the jointbox to your house wall can be very expensive, 60m of footway construction could be in the order of £3k , so if it’s more than that , plus any other costs , a bill of £3.8k minus OR contribution of £3.4K leaves your £400 contribution, if you don’t want to pay , the order is cancelled.
It says KCI2 assure and availabilty date: available.... the box is in the footpath 6m away approximately as from that box (underground) our neighbour is being fed. They knew that as they sent us a form to allow them to dig and to make possible damages.
If the box is only 6m away then I don’t see how those costs can be correct , but the nearest jointbox isn’t necessarily the box containing the CBT, you should ask how the figure is arrived at , something to consider, if the nearest jointbox is a jointbox 23 then it’s not a usable box , search BT jointbox 23 , if the one 6m away is one if these it’s not a usable box and isn’t part of the FTTP network
