Since yesterday I've been having packet loss issues (25-30% loss) to AWS servers in the ap-southeast-1 region in Singapore. Is there anywhere to find out of BT has acknowledged this?
I don't suffer this problem if I tether to my Vodafone mobile for internet.
You will probably first need to figure out where your packets are getting lost en route, and this may be happening outside any network controlled by BT or OpenReach. In windows you can try using a command called pathping and one of the easily locatable IP addresses for AWS in Singapore. When I tried this, there appeared to be one hop that lost a small percentage of packets!
*When you use tools such as pathping, you need to understand they are only a guide. Some nodes en route just wont respond to a ping request, and others will prioritise real traffic over ping requests. ie don't be an absolutist! Different ISPs may have slightly different routing, especially if they have substantial network backbone infrastructure of their own - keeping things within their own network for as much of the journey as they can!
