Purple light flashing smart hub

Hello all,

I have been without internet for over a week since they came to install full fibre. I am using the hybrid connect.

before the fibre my bt2 smart hub was working fine

I have a Bt 2 smart hub.the light is flashing purple ( or just purple if hybrid connect is on)

Port 4 is marked as WAN, Fttp in on , connected directly from open reach to port 4, the cable works and is fully inserted in both ends

pon and lan lights of the open reach are green.

software and firmware are updated.

i have done a couple of resets too .

any suggestions?

Hi, @Hialakazam I'm sorry about that did the installation engineer leave it that way or did it work then stop? I'd recommend trying a factory reset of the hub for a start to put its settings back to default.

Hey Neil,

thanks for your message.

reset didn’t work either .

The engineer left it like that but it was not his fault.  Friday the 5th open reach systems were Down until midnight.  So engineer was told to move to next job. 
The Engineer believed that  everything was going to work once open reach systems were working.

The good news is that today I  have confirmation that an engineer is coming on a Tuesday .
