BT Troubleshooter, BT Broadband Speed Checker

I'm trying to do a speed check having recently upgraded to 900 MB as on wifi I still only get 50 to 70ish. I'll connect the router to laptop and run BT Wholesale test. Do I connect the red (WAN) cable to the laptop?

No, leave the WAN connection connected. (At least at this stage)

Just connect your laptop to one of the LAN ports on rear the Smarthub using any colour of Ethernet cable that you have.
