SNR Reset?

Last year BT dug up my road and some work was done on the wiring to my house, previously I was getting 40-60mbps download but for the last year it has been ranging between 5-20mbps.

Recently, I remembered talking to one of the engineers and they said that I need an SNR reset, I just would like some help on that as I have no clue where to start!
