A little over a month ago I had full fibre installed. Few weeks before that the smart hub 2 when through a period of intermittent restarts. Figured I’d switch to fibre and maybe the issue would sort itself out. The issue is still there. Some days might not see and issue, some days like today it’ll restarts several times in an hour
Any ideas what may fix this, could it just be that I need a new hub
It could be the hub, it's power supply or the connection, but as you say you've switched to FTTP recently, that would seem to rule out the connection.
I'd tap Customer Services up for a replacement hub, if I were you.
Cheers it is several years old now and had never been an issue before
Have you tried a factory reset by pressing the recessed button on back and holding until the hub lights flash and see if the helps. Have you checked the cables are secure especially power cable
If that does not fix the problem then phone CS 03301234150 and request hub replacement
