Hi, currently having issues with incredibly poor upload speeds on our line. Download speed is the full 50Mbps that our line can handle, but upload speed is all the way down to 0.5Mbps! It has made the connection pretty much unusable.
This has been brought up with BT before, and though the issue was resolved for a few months it's since degraded to this very sad state again.
Is there anything I can do to help with this?
Hi @Biznasty,
I am sorry to see that your upload speeds seem to be way below what they should be.
Can you test your speed at https://speedtest.btwholesale.com and also on fast.com?
If you have our MyBT app, you can test your speed there too. Let me know the results, please.
Thanks
DanielS
All essential reporting the same thing. Around 50Mbps download, and between 0.5Mbps and 1Mbps upload.
Real world experience is not good. I'm not even able to make voice calls over WiFi because the connection is so bad.
Hi @Biznasty and thanks for the reply.
Are you seeing the same issue connected via cable?
Cheers
David
I assume you're likely to ask for this at some point too, so here are my router stats to help
Thanks for posting back and for providing your Hub stats @Biznasty
I can see from the stats that something definitely isn't right so we'll investigate from our side. I have sent you a private message with instructions on how you can send us over your details and we'll look into this for you. See: Private messages
Thanks,
Robbie
Bit of an update on this, we rencently had a power cut. And when it came back on, lo and behold! Full upload speeds restored! But before I could announce my return to streaming on twitter, there was a brief loss of connection and it went back to around 0.5Mbps.
What on earth is going on here? Am I being intentionally throttled?
Hi @Biznasty, sorry the speed dropped back again after appearing like it was fixed. I can one of the team has been in touch with you so hopefully this will be fixed soon.
Cheers
John
