Re: Your Full Fibre speed is coming to an end

This has scam written all over it

Probably hoodwinked the work experience call centre worker as well

Extremely unlikely almost unheard of for any isp to "downgrade " mid contract

My advice ignore it and whatever you do don't reveal any personal information to anyone saying they're from BT

BT will never call you and ask for your password etc.

Re: Your Full Fibre speed is coming to an end

Trial speeds are fairly common. I don't know BT products any more but it looks to me like messaging for that missent to people not relevant to. If it's a scam and the work experience call centre people are hoodwinked as you say then that's even worse. Signed and sent by a BT domain. So.. thatd be a breach.

Mistakes happen and I'll question why I'm still on any list to receive this email by mistake. But not the end of the world. What  I can't comprehend is why the long delay to admit to the mistake even if just to say they're looking into it and don't know why it happened.

The advice seems sound though.

Hi @Graham71

Thanks for bringing this to the Community!

I can confirm that this was sent out by us in error, with some old data, so it is fine to disregard this.

It was time stamped at 09.59hrs when it was posted and yours was time stamped at10.56 hrs, almost an hour later.

Yes I reply in that way because if it is pointed out to you hopefully you won't make the same mistake again which makes your post look outdated and pointless.

As regards not wanting to post here anymore that is entirely up to you.
