This is a smart hub 2 i am talking about, last night it was flashing purple and when i woke ip it had no light. I unplugged the power source for a couple of minutes to see if that worked but it never so i done a factory reset.
Is there a light on the hub now? If not, is it plugged in properly and switched on? (There is a switch on the back that it is easy to press by accident)
Once you have some sort of light, the SSID and password for the Wi-Fi will be back to the defaults on the card on the back, when you reset it. You need to enter them in your phone. Then connect to 192.168.1.254, accepting any "warnings" it gives you.
Enter the admin password, also on the card on the back, go to Advanced settings > Broadband and make sure FTTP mode is On.
Lghts not on at all and i dont see a switch its a button
Well, if you are sure that it's plugged in, the socket is on, and the button is depressed and there are still no lights at all then the implication is that the hub or it's power unit is good old-fashioned broken.
You'll have to phone customer services for a replacement.
(A final factory reset might be worth trying, holding the button in for 30 seconds, but it sounds broken to me).
