Prices are exactly the same for any given package regardless of how it is delivered. Obviously higher speed packages can't be delivered by copper.

The Digital Voice adapter has absolutely no knowledge of whether your broadband is delivered by copper or fibre.

If you move provider the terms are set by the new provider, and have  nothing to do with BT , so it’s odd you would ask here (BT) about the company you would consider switching  to ,obviously you ask them .

The BT DV adapter is designed for use with the BT Hub and not for different providers routers  , you should proceed on the assumption the BTDV adapter is not going to work with anyone else’s router .

However, I misread your question about DV adapter, I assumed you were asking about copper versus fibre with BT

Moving provider is what your question posed , you never said if I move to FTTP while remaining on BT….but the method of delivery FTTP or Copper has no bearing on qualification for the social tariff, it’s Openreach that want people off copper and onto FTTP once it’s available, that includes ISP customers that are on social tariffs .

The higher speeds on FTTP are not available on a social tariff, so 150-300-500-900-1600Mb  are not included as they are regarded as much more than a minimum provision, so if someone wanted higher  speeds while qualifying for a social tariff they would have pay the same as everyone else no social tariff rate , if they want to benefit from the social tariff it means taking the lower speeds that the home essentials products offer which are the same as the copper FTTC  speeds although FTTP will deliver the full speed of the product whereas FTTC may not if the customers line is too long to supply the full speed
