Re: BT Mobile data still not working

I just had a call with a nice guy from BT/EE who has apologised. He said the new SIM didn’t really fix anything as they had transferred my account to my new SIM, that cut off the old one. The original problems were genuine last week which they hoped would have been fixed sooner than it was. I told him about some of the things I was told by customer service which were not true, just to get me over to EE. He agreed it was not right and will feed that back to customer service. You can complain to BT by calling them and say you want to raise a complaint. My data came back to life around 24hrs after the network reset on my account.

Re: BT Mobile data still not working

BT have a network issue with Data & some SMS services, this has been on going since the 20th November.  Just been told this after calling BT today. Being treated as a P1 incident.

Re: BT Mobile data still not working

My daughter's phone was not working with mobile data for the last two days. Managed to get through to report the problem and spoke to a Technician this morning who went through numerous troubleshooting solutions, resetting network etc. which failed to resolve the issue. Was told it is a Network issue. Technician suggested getting a new EE mobile SIM could help (but not convinced by this!). However, now (a couple of hours later) mobile data appears to be working again (hopefully rectified without a repeat).

Re: BT Mobile data still not working

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience here @JayL .

I'm glad to hear that things are back to how they should be now, and fingers crossed you shouldn't see any more trouble.

If  you did ever want to have a check of the network though, just head over to the EE status checker here, and it'll let you know the overall coverage in the area, along with any known outages nearby.

Re: BT Mobile data still not working

Hi,

My sons mobile hasn't had data since Saturday. Made a call into BT on Sunday and was told there wasn't any network issues and my son should attempt to restart his phone/remove his sim card/reset his iPhone... Did all of the above but nothing worked.

Rang back a few hours later and spoke to a helpful lady who told me that there WAS a network issue and there were tickets raised to resolve the issue.

It's now Monday, still no data, a really miserable son who cannot use his phone outdoors (yes, it really is 2024!!) and a customer who will never forget that he was lied to by the "helpline". Disgusting service and no service.

Re: BT Mobile data still not working

Hi @Simon-Martin

Sorry to hear your son is facing data issues in your area.

Have you had a chance to check the EE status checker for the latest update of signal in your area?

Re: BT Mobile data still not working

The web-site says that the coverage is limited in many areas but even so, in the area's where is supposed to be strong, there is no signal/data on his phone.

Re: BT Mobile data still not working

Have people experiencing this got double data under BT Halo? If so have you reached your standard data allowance? I was informed yesterday that this is a technical glitch where some people are getting capped at their standard allowance, with no expected fix date!

Re: BT Mobile data still not working

I had double data but was nowhere near my standard allowance. I was told all sorts of fibs hence why I lost trust with BT and moved elsewhere for mobile service.
