Hello,
I bought my son a new iPhone 14 without realizing it was eSim and without realizing BT doesn't support eSim for residential customers. Right now he's waiting it hopes BT will support eSim.
Should he continue to wait or would it be wiser to switch to a family plan on a new a carrier that does support eSims? Does anyone know if BT is planning to support eSims for non-business accounts any time within the next few months?
Thank you!

If you ring BT sales, they can arrange to move your existing BT sim to EE, same netowork and you can get discounts for being a BT broadband customer, ring 150 from your BT mobile or Landline or ring 0330 1234 150
I thought I read that UK iPhone 14 had both eSIM & regular SIM?
But there's pretty much zero chance of BT ever supporting eSIM as the entire BT Mobile business is being gradually transferred to EE.
The iPhone 14 should support both eSim and physical sim unless it was bought in the States.
