Family mobile

Hi,

As MFA is mandatory, what is the most secure way for family members using family SIM, to use hotspots without bill payer’s email and credential access, please advise?

Thank you

Re: Family mobile

Hi @DRT1,

Welcome to the Community!

Customers will need the login details for the account to be able to use our hot-spots.

Re: Family mobile

Thanks Rach, so they will need their own credentials?  How do I set that up?

If using bill payer’s credentials, it does not really work as everyone will need access to bill payer’s email for authentication code? Or is there an alternative option?

Re: Family mobile

Hi @DRT1

EE WiFi hotspot (formally BT Wi-Fi) is the UK's largest WiFi hotspot network. To access this you, or anyone else, can buy a voucher for short-term access here.

Alternatively, If you also have EE Broadband or BT Broadband, you can receive unlimited free access to the EE WiFi Hotspot network, unless you've opted out. You can get online at an EE WiFi hotspot using your EE ID or BT ID and password. You can find out more at Help with EE WiFi

If you wish to allow access to a mobile user on your account, one option could be that you immediately pass the code to your family member when you receive it?

BT Mobile customers get free Wi-Fi on the London Underground automatically without the account holders credentials.
