Multipe SIMS, PAC Codes, PIN Codes and STAC Codes

Anyone know if I can retrieve my old number if it's been shut down recently and try again to transfer it from BT to EE or had a similar experience or even if it just ca case of waiting a bit longer  - I've transferred from BT Mobile to EE when looking at a new phone and reviewing the mobile phone options in a BT/EE shop recently - but when I tried to request a PAC code, texting 65075 in the BT\EE shop, and with their staff helping we couldn't figure out how to get a PAC code - all that anyone managed to get was a STAC code and a  text message saying that as this was a Family SIM plan with multiple SIMS attached I have to either login to bt.com\mymobile or to call 03301234150. When I got home  I dialled the number, spoke to an operator and gave them the PIN and was advised that I didn't need a PAC code and the number would transfer automatically on the next couple of days. The number didn't transfer automatically after 3 days waiting. I looked at the EE transfer number form - Enter EE Number and input the details of the phone and found I could use the STAC code it appeared from the wording on there that either the PAC or STAC code could be used to transfer the number (agree that seemed strange to use the STAC code but there didn't seem to be any alternative) - upshot is that it appears I have now lost my old number, which I didn't want to do

Re: Multipe SIMS, PAC Codes, PIN Codes and STAC Codes

Another provider would accept a STAC but the idea is that your new provider tell the old provider you’re moving and don’t want to keep your number.
You’ll need to phone BT again and explain the mixup and request a PAC, you’ll have 90 days from the date it was stopped.
