Possible SIM problem

PLEASE read through ... I don't get an alert sound when I receive a text. I have been to the Apple store many times. They assume I'm a dumbo and don't have the settings correct. They check, all of the settings are correct but they say there you are, done! I leave the store, and within an hour or two, the alert sounds stop. I ALWAYS get a ping sound if there's a LinkedIn alert or and Ebay message.

Why am I beginning to think this might be SIM related? Because I'm on my 3rd iPhone with this problem. Not sure how many years ago this started but it's now beginning to really annoy me.

When the ping sound stops on the phone, I don't get a vibrate on my watch and so it can be hours before I even know I have a message.

Is there anyone technical on this board that can assure me this is not SIM related?

PLEASE HELP!

Re: Possible SIM problem

Can't see it myself but report you SIM as damaged & BT will replace it, then you'll know for certain.

Looks like you can order online:

Re: Possible SIM problem

@Blingshot

I'm hard of hearing so I set loud sounds. Everyone within 20 feet knows when I receive an SMS! Just tested it again to ensure there's no problem.

I have also set the ringer and alerts to the loudest volume.
