Roaming

My phone is not working in Cyprus. Data roaming, receive international calls and spend cap are all switched on. I have no means of contacting BT as I don't have their email address . The same problem happened last month when I was in France. BT told me my data roaming had been switched off at thier end they didn't know why. They assured me that had switched it back on. Can anybody from BT help please?

This is a BT residential customer to customer forum. Your post does not go to BT. The only BT staff are the forum moderators who do not necessarily read all the posts.

You have to have a balance in the roaming cap. If you do not already have that just add £5 to see if that works.

Many thanks. I have £5 roaming cap and it doesn't work. I think I'll have to switch networks.

Hi @stringaj 

Welcome to the community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having some problems with your data roaming. I know you've mentioned that our customer service team said that roaming wasn't switched on from our end, but that should have been enabled when you contacted us about it.

Have you tried manually searching for a different available Cypriot network, to see if it works better?

@stringaj this is an obvious question but it needs to be asked, have you enabled roaming on your device because a lot of the time it's set to off by default???

The only local network available is Epic Mobile. Tried it but sadly it didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion though

Update on my last post. I have found a local Cypriot network called Cyta Mobile which seems to be working. Thanks for all your advice.
