Transfer Family Sim/existing number to a new account

Hi, 

my mother in law moved in with us 10 months ago (moving from abroad to the UK) and joined our family sim BT contract.  She has now purchased a house and moved out.  I have set her up a new BT ID and ordered her BT broadband.  I need to set up a new BT mobile contract for her and transfer her current BT phone number to her new account.  How do i transfer her number? I cant find any information on the topic (bar normal PAC code route when you transfer from a different provider) and i have been on hold with BT support for 30 minutes with no luck.
