Upgrade Mobile Plan

Good afternoon all.

I have been with BT Mobile for many years and remained so during the period when BT withdrew from the market. As BT has recently re entered the market, my intention is to upgrade what I have to one of their new packages.

Please excuse my ignorance but; will a new SIM be required as my current package is 4G and I note the new packages also support 5G or is it simply a call to BT to transfer my current package? I just want to increase my data and keep my current mobile number.

Please let me know how you get on with this if you progress with your order. 

I'm in the same situation as you, I have foned up twice now to upgrade my existing BT mobile Sims ( I have 3), each time they say they can't find the advertised 30gb for £15 option that I would like (doubled to 60gb as I'm on halo) on their system and try to sell me an EE Sim. 

I have gave up, hopefully there will be an option to upgrade online soon but I'm not holding my breath!
