I have stopped receiving text alerts when I have a voicemail message. Ordinarily this would not be much of an issue as I would also receive a missed call alert from my phone letting me know someone had rung. However my current office has no mobile reception and so most calls go straight to voicemail without me getting a missed call alert from my mobile.
I run a Pixel 6a and have run through all the settings I can think of on the phone. I have also rung 1571 and toggled text alerts on and off but to with no success. Has anyone else had similar issues or can anyone suggest a fix?
Yes, I just noticed this problem. It used to work fine and yesterday I missed an important call while I was away. They left a message but I didn't discover it until I returned today, from the phone display. I haven't made any changes to my BT phone setup.
Did you find out why the SMS alerts stopped?
Marmite.
You should receive a Voicemail icon on your phone for your first new Voicemail?
The digital phone supplied by BT, which is at home (!) shows an icon as soon as a message is received. But the service was not sending a text message to my mobile (when I am away from home), in the way the voicemail setup promises.

You will need to dial into Voicemail and select option 3 to go into settings and features, then option 4 to setup texts to your mobile phone.
EDIT: sorry just read your other post! I see you have it setup already 🙂
