My mobile phone keeps switching from BT to EE while EE is displayed I can only make emergency call and I am not able to receive incoming calls could this be a phone or sim fault

BT use the EE network and it’s common for older handsets (non-smartphone) to display the MNO rather than MVNO.

I would guess signal issue more than anything, has it been working fine recently? And have you tried in multiple locations?
