When is someone going to sort the broken WiFi at Caravan Motorhome Club site at York. You get paid a fortune for all the sites, we’re touring and need WiFi. Also many are your customers. Disgraceful nil response from BT
This is a BT residential customer to customer forum. Your post does not go to BT. The only BT staff are the forum moderators who do not necessarily read all the posts.
It is the site operator who is responsible for ensuring that the wifi on their site is operating correctly and if it is faulty for contacting BT if they are the supplier in order to get it fixed.
Just telling the world how bad BT are, as a customer, who expects better
I doubt the "world" reads this forum!
While the broadband to the site may be supplied by BT, it is the site that pays for it and offers a wifi connection to the site's customers, not BT.
Even although you may be a BT customer and if you were trying to use a free BTWifi hotspot as against a hotspot that is supplied by the site albeit it might be BT who supply it, it is up to the "owner" of the hotspot to maintain it. BT have no control over it what so ever and have no way of knowing if it works or not unless a fault is reported to them.
Do BT know there is a fault?
Did the manager of the site who is responsible for ensuring everything on the site is properly maintained and working report a fault?
Did you report a fault to the manager?
I should add that there is no longer free BTWifi hotspots and the BTWifi app no longer works. They are now known as EEWifi so perhaps you were trying to log onto the wrong one or use the wrong method of logging on.
In order to log onto the free EEWifi you have to use the same details as for BTWifi and use a web browser as there is no app for it.
