Have been with BT Broadband for many years. Out of contract. HALO2. 700min calling plan and Bt/TNT sports.
Called to cancel TNT as need to cut costs. 3 April. Think all is fine until I get a text saying my package was due to be delivered. No idea what it was for so logged into account and saw contract had been renewed for 2 years and changed to HALO3.
Had to call. Spoke to guide. Stated I did not renew as I was making cut backs and advised them to listen back to the call. Apologies were given I was told they would revert me back to my out of contract status, as it was without TNT.
Package delivered 8 April. Tracked, no signature needed with advice to leave out of sight or with neighbour. No choice but to accept it but left unopened. Logged into account to check status. Contract now showing as renewed to 7 March (which would be a 23 month contract) with Mobile with unknown number so now have pay as you go charge, set up charge and am incurring landline charges.
Spoke to another guide. Advised Mobile must be due to ee hybrid connect package so advised to open and check. Declined as did not renew so did not want it. Tracked return 13 April.
Called last week to complain. Was told would revert to my out of contract package and to wait until next bill due (yesterday) and would get a call back. Asked for a complaint ref but not sure if genuine one given.
Guide called back as promised but advised me I could not be reverted back without TNT being reactivated again so asked what I would like to do. I said I wanted to cancel everything as I did not agree to renew and for another 2 years, did not request Mobile and did not agree to pay set landline call charges.
Got cut off when attempting to transfer my call so I called and spoke to guide. Guide confirmed they could see I had called 4 times before and the notes from my initial call state I called to cancel TNT and that a refund should be applied to next bill.
I was asked again what I wanted to do. I said cancel. Was told it would cost over £900 to do so. I said I won't pay because I did not renew my contract and to listen to call. Was asked to hold while they listened to call to make sure I didn't renew (I didn't). Held for some time. Guide said they couldn't find the call (I asked if they had listened to it to confirm I had not agreed to renew) but they would email a manager to revert me to my out of contract status with 700min calling plan and no TNT.
Unfortunately I have very little confidence as I have spent over 3 hours speaking to different guides who all apologise, say they don't understand what happened or why and that it will be sorted out.
Am hoping a moderator picks this up to help sort this out. Please

I haven't heard from anyone yet. I did get an email after speaking to the guide on the 23rd but that is about HALO3 again.
I've checked my account but nothing has changed so not sure if something is pending.
