I have notified the moderators of the forum about this thread. They do not have account access so will not be able to directly help but they should be able to advise you who to contact or sent the letter to for verification as to whether or not is genuine or a scam of some sort.

They will advise you by posting on this thread.

But it's amazing how many people DO just throw away packaging with their name and address on it. Councils routinely use this to catch people who use the "wrong bin" for particular waste and to catch fly-tippers.

Thanks for getting in touch and highlighting this, I can imagine it's worrying when you get a letter with incorrect details on it.

I'd recommend giving us a call so a guide can check to see if we've recently sent out any communication, and check if your direct debit is set up.

If you believe the email may not be genuine, you can take a picture or scan the letter and then send it in an email to our phishing team at phishing@bt.com

I went to phishing@bt.com, link, and could not get anywhere in the BT System in that link where to send a BT LETTER, I repeat LETTER, it only applies to Emails and Phone devices, no help with Suspected Phishing BT Letters
Any further advice please ??
