Is the domain @message.bt.com owned by BT.
And is hello@message.bt.com a BT e mail address.
I had a mail from this address asking me to add an e card to my wallet to get access to BT Halo support.
Sounds very dubious to me.
The address is possible, you can have any subdomain but you don't have to do anything for Halo support, so that is clearly a scam and the email address spoofed.
DO NOT click on any email links and NEVER give any private information or bank details via any links in the email.
If you are in any doubt about an email just treat it as a scam. Any information that the email is telling you about will no doubt be available by logging onto your MyBT or by calling BT Customer Services 0800.800.150
Hi @paulkitty,
We will not ask you to add an e-card to any wallet to get our support especially for a product such as Halo from BT. You can find out more about our BT Halo here.
The email that you received is pretending to be from BT. It's called spoofing. Here are some useful links about phishing scams and how to deal with spam.
Any issues or questions, post up here.
Thanks
DanielS
