Location is kings hill , near west Malling Kent .
EVERY week day two huge Ooenreach vans are in this car park , the spaces are not big enough for vans . Surely this is a waste of open reach resources ! I assume they park there because they are sharing someone else’s van , the car park is free , but local users cannot get in because they are left there ALL DAY LONG !
can someone please advise if there is a solution to this parking problem !
This is a BT customer forum, and has nothing to do with Openreach.
You need to complain to Openreach.

Ok thank you
If it is a free carpark and they are parked as per the Carpark owners rules and not committing any infringements they can park there ALL DAY LONG if they want just in the same way as you can.
I thought ooenreach might be interested that their expensive resources were not being put to good use , if parked there every weekday , they are obviously not required by the user . I think most companies would like to save money where they can ?
do the vans go away and then come back the next day? it could be that openreach are working nearby and that is most convenient free place to park
The implication is that the drivers of the vehicles are doing nothing constructive, if the vehicle are parked up every day…..Openreach have GPS tracking on their vehicles, I’m sure if a vehicle didn’t move for hours or days on end without good reason , the tracker would be reported this fact to the vehicle keepers manager, but if this happens to be a convenient location , where a work team can meet up and then share a single vehicle to travel to the job , ( that doesn’t need more than one vehicle but needs multiple workers) , although it may annoy other car park users ( for whatever reason ) they are not doing anything wrong .
They go away every day and no they are not working locally ! It’s EVERY day for Years !
It doesn’t necessarily have to be working locally, just a convenient place for two techs to meet up and continue the forward journey….TBH , if this is being done without the knowledge of the van keepers management , they are risking their continued employment,if this were convenient for doubling up to avoid congestion charges etc , then it makes sense.
