six digit e mail verification

Started for me today i get the number and can access my e mail but when i leave the page i have to repeat the process every time i return. I have lap top using W11. I  tried  speaking with BT customer care without any joy and i then tried co pilot which also failed to fix............any help apricated as  its now winding me up. !

PS I did not ask for this two part verification but was informed by customer care that  its being implemented for all BT Broadband users is anyone else experiencing my above problem. ?

There are numerous posts like yours. BT has implemented 2 step authentication and it cannot be changed or deleted.  If you want to avoid then use an email app not BT

OK could you direct me to which area of the forum holds the numerous posts so i can see if anyone has the same problem as myself and has found a fix.

There is no fix. 2FA is now mandatory, however, as @imjolly has already said, it can simply be avoided by not using webmail and using a mail client such as the free Thunderbird
