bt assure me that a note is on my account now a note to the effect that because a ongoing problem exists with my transfer they will will allow me to extend the cancellation period on my new Fttp contract beyond 14 days .
i have asked for a recording of this call .
they said they’ve sent me a email confirming this , ineffect a modification to the contract .
so far I haven’t had the email .
should I believe the note on my account is sufficient ?

At the very least call BT again, do not give any clues to the Customer Service agent but ask him/her to verify any information in the notes that is on your account.

Unless you have a email confirming what you agreed to then no. Either get this or walk away. At the moment you have no proof whatsoever that this agreement ever took place.
I have asked for and signed agreement for a copy of the call . It takes up to a month and actually is in the small print is not certain to be made available.

its only because EE won’t accept BT battery backups - which are in any case removed now , and don’t show on my bt account but do on ee systems -and after a week of hours of calls snd misleading resolutions -I am now told only openreach can remove the red flag - and that’s a two week delay at best - and will go over the 14 days …
