14 day cancellation period

bt assure me that a note is on my account now a note to the effect that  because a ongoing problem exists with my transfer they will will allow me to extend the cancellation period on my new Fttp contract beyond 14 days .

i have asked for a recording of this call .

they said they’ve sent me a email confirming this , ineffect a modification to the contract .

so far I haven’t had the email .

should I believe the note on my account is sufficient ?

Re: 14 day cancellation period

No.

At the very least call BT again, do not give any clues to the Customer Service agent but ask him/her to verify any information in the notes that is on your account.

I would still get it in writing. It is important.

Re: 14 day cancellation period

 No way

Unless you have a email confirming what you agreed to then no. Either get this or walk away. At the moment you have no proof whatsoever that this agreement ever took place.

Re: 14 day cancellation period

I have asked for and signed agreement for a copy of the call . It takes up to a month and actually is in the small print is not certain to be made available.

it is however and I’ve checked on my account record .buy no promised email has arrived .

its only because EE won’t accept BT battery backups - which are in any case removed now , and don’t show on my bt account  but do on ee systems -and after a week of hours of calls snd misleading resolutions -I am now told only openreach can remove the red flag - and that’s a two week delay at best - and will go over the 14 days …
