I changed address one week ago having been a BT customer for years. I have a combined Broadband and landline phone package. I agreed a new package, including £7.50 for free calls, of £31.39 per month.
My bill for October is£35.22and in November BT expect me to pay £38.47 which is for Broadband and a separate landline charge. I am livid. I am 71 years of age and the stress of moving is bad enough, but to have BT mess up my Account in this way is the last straw. Will BT honour their promise and reinstate my Broadband package (including line rental and free calls) as per their telephone conversation with me?
Solved! Go to Solution.
There are no packages now with call included and any call packages are additional to your broadband package
Thank you for your reply. I understand I pay extra to have "free" calls (700 minutes for £7.50) but BT I had an agreement with BT that from 23/09/22 my new monthly cost would be £31.49. This deal retained my existing contents of the package.
Last night, online, I put in an order for Broadband including line rental at £24.99 per month.
Why have BT disregarded the original deal they made with me at £31.49 per month?
When I informed BT I was moving they sent a new Contract dated 8 September stating a monthly fee of £30.49
This is not the £35 plus for October or £38 plus they want for November. The price on the Contract is £30.49
This includes my many years on a Broadband package plus £7.50 for 700 minutes free calls via my landline.
Moving house is stressful, but the above figures are the true figures in my new Contract.
Just had an online chat with Gourav and have agreed to wait for the November bill. It should be as per my Contract. Will wait and see.
