Activating account

Hi Im trying to sign up  for BT online. 

We have an old account and I sign in and it asks me to verify the email.

It sends out a verification link, which I click, it says you need to wait 10 mins I do, then it says its timed out. 

I try to get a password reset, it says it doesnt know the account. 

I have just bought a product and want to manage it online, can anyone help me get this fixed

how old is your previous account?  when was it last used?

you may need to set up a new BTID

Last used ooh, 4 years ago. 

Strange one, though couldnt activate the account, stuck in loop, if I tried to reset the password, it didnt recognise the account. Ended up phoning in changing my btid on my order and that "fixed it"
