Hi
We live in a very rural part of the UK where BT Fibre / Openreach is not available
A local provider Wessex Internet has been working to connect local homes and in a weeks time we have the opportunity to get Fibre with them using Govt and local authority voucher schemes.
What happens to our BT Broadband Contract - which only provides 1 meg broadband connection?
Which we renewed because it was our only option for Broadband
Thanks
Andrew
Solved! Go to Solution.
You would either have to wait until your BT contract ends, or cancel it and pay the cancellation charges which could be a lot if you have only recently renewed.
You can of course still go with another provider for fibre, and keep your BT connection as well, until your contract ends.
If your phone number is important to you, then you will almost certainly lose it if you move your service.
