BT TV essentials

Hi, I am paying £6 for BT TV essentials, can I cancel this but still want usual you view, I don't every use it and seems a waste of money, especially as the prices have gone up

Depends.

If you cancel and the Youview box was received after 13/12/2019 then it's a loaned unit that must be returned when you cancel otherwise you'll be charged a fee.

If you had the box prior to the above date then it's yours to keep and use as a normal Freeview recorder.
